A major cybersecurity conference will take place in Dublin this morning highlighting the issue of cyber crime.

The topic happens to be in the news following the LoyaltyBuild security breach.

Policymakers, industry leaders and global experts will assemble to explore the scale of threats, emerging criminal trends and policy responses.

Paddy Buchannan, Digital teacher and researcher with the IIEA, says there needs to be a global discussion on the issue.

"We're bringing together key sakeholders from across the EU and the wider world to encoruage new partenrships, renewed engagement, and to make emangingful contribution to ongoing policy discussions," he said.
