Gardaí investigate cattle carcasses found near Louth border
A number of cattle carcasses have been found near the border in Co. Louth.
Louth County Council, the Gardaí and the Food Safety Authority are investigating the discovery of the six sets of remains near Ravensdale Forest.
Louth County Council has said it is possible they may have come from an illegal meat boning plant.
The site was inspected by the Louth county vet who said he believes the carcasses were expertly butchered and the meat will be sold for human consumption.
