Carlow man charged with raping woman 30 years ago

A Carlow man has gone on trial charged with raping a woman in the county more than 30 years ago.

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to one charge of raping a woman on date between January 1, 1980 and January 31, 1980.
