TDs reject calls to legalise cannabis

TDs have overwhelming rejected calls for the government to legalise cannabis.

Luke 'Ming' Flanagan's motion calling for the drug to be legalised was supported by just seven of his colleagues.

112 deputies from the four major parties voted against the motion.

Deputy Flanagan had threatened to report other TDs to the Gardaí for using the drug, if they voted against his call to legalise it.
