Irish Food and Drink exports to the Middle East set to double by 2020

Irish Food and Drink exports to the Middle East are set to double by 2020 and are expected to exceed €500,000,000.

Bord Bia announced the target as almost 60 representatives from the industry are participating in a trade mission to the Middle East.

Personnel from 25 Irish Food and Drink companies and nine agri-service providers are involved in the trade mission.

This year, Irish food and drink exports to the Middle East were worth €275m, with the Gulf States accounting for 70% of that.
