World's tallest dog dies

The world's tallest dog has died.

Giant George, who was 3ft 7inches from paw to shoulders and double that size when standing on his hind legs, passed away "peacefully" at his home in Tuscon, Arizona.

The pooch's owners David and Christie Nasser took to Facebook to announce their beloved canine's death, writing: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died last night.

"George passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

"We appreciate the love and support you have given him over the last several years.

"We look forward to honouring his spirit by continuing his charitable works."
