Two men due in court after major drug seizures

Two men are due to appear in court this morning in relation to the seizure of more than €2m worth of cannabis plants.

The seizures were made as part of Operation Nitrogen, during planned raids in counties Kerry, Cavan and Roscommon.

A 50-year-old man is due to appear before Cavan District Court this morning charged in relation to the seizure at Virginia, Co Cavan.

A 39-year-old will appear before Tuam District Court charged in relation to the seizure at Oldtown in County Roscommon.

A man in his 20s remains in custody in Tralee Garda Station in County Kerry and a second male in his 20s remains in Tralee General Hospital.
