Two remanded in connection with €2m Kildare drugs seizure

Two men have appeared before a special sitting of Kilcock District Court in relation to a drugs seizure in Co Kildare yesterday.

The men aged 40 and 53 appeared in court at 3pm this afternoon.

They were remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill District Court on October 25.

Detectives targeting the sale and supply of drugs searched a house at Johnstownbridge yesterday afternoon and found what they described as "a sophisticated mixing factory" for cocaine and heroin.

They seized the drugs which they believe has an estimated street value of €2m.
