'It's a long drive to Lotto HQ when you've a €2m ticket in your pocket'

A 36-strong syndicate from the midlands collected their €2m jackpot from Lotto Headquarters in Dublin this afternoon.

The group from Rooskey have been playing for five years and will each take home €55,555.

Alan Hogan of the group was first to find out they had won.

"I knew at 11 o'clock on Sunday morning," he said. "Driving down on Sunday night was a long, long drive with a piece of paper in my pocket worth €2m."
