Talks between the Irish Medical Organisation and the HSE will resume early next week, with the IMO saying "progress has been made" in the junior doctors dispute.

Non-consultant hospital doctors want their working hours to be reduced from the current level of up to 100 hours per week, and they also want hospitals to be sanctioned for failing to meet the EU's working time directive.
