Aer Lingus has launched a paid wifi service on transatlantic flights.

Customers will be able to connect to wifi with their own devices, but calls will not be permitted.

The airline says studies show that most passengers prefer a "call-free" cabin.

The cost to connect to the network ranges from €11-€20.
