Seanad vote can be extended to all 'straight away', Power claims

Legislation is almost ready that would allow every Irish citizen the right to vote in Seanad elections, Fianna Fáil Senator Averil Power has claimed.

On Friday the country took to the polls to reject the Government's proposal to abolish the Upper House.
