PSNI investigate Belfast car jacking

A man escaped injury when his car was hijacked in Belfast.

Detectives are appealing for information following the incident in the St James’s Parade area of the city at about 7.40pm last night.

The victim was ordered out of his car by two unknown men, who had their faces covered.

The PSNI said the pair fled in the car, a blue Citroen, which was found burnt-out a short time later on the Whiterock Road.

“The man was not injured during this incident, however he was left badly shaken,” a spokeswoman added.
