Shots fired at Drogheda house with five children inside
Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident in Drogheda, Co. Louth, yesterday.
A number of shots were fired at a house in Knockbrack Close at around 9.15pm last night.
There were two women and five children, ranging in age from sevem months to six years, in the house at the time.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination.
A car believed to have been involved in the incident was found on fire a short distance away at Platin, Co. Meath.
The car is described as a grey coloured Kia C'eed.
Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who was in and around Knockbrack Close or adjoining roads between 9pm and 9.30pm last night.
