TripAdvisor announces 50 jobs for Dublin

Fifty jobs are to be created as one of the world’s biggest travel websites sets up a new internet engineering hub in the capital.

TripAdvisor is to open the base in the area of Dublin known as the Silicon Docks where several internet giants have set up offices.

The new hub will be a centre for key engineering roles working with the company’s experts in the US to deliver new and improved features to the website’s platforms.

Richard Bruton, Jobs Minister, made the announcement.

“This is a company which has revolutionised the travel industry and one of the fastest growing businesses on the internet, and today’s announcement confirms our status as the internet capital of Europe. I wish TripAdvisor every success here,” he said.

The investment has been supported by IDA Ireland.
