Teen pedestrian killed in Dublin accident

A 16-year-old girl has died in an accident in south Dublin.

The incident happened at around 9.15pm last night on the N11 at Stillorgan, while the girl was trying to cross the road close to the Kilmacud Road junction.

Her body was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital, where a post mortem will take place later.

The southbound carriageway at the scene on N11 was closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. This section of road has now reopened.
