The winning €12.8m Euromillions ticket was sold at Ardkeen Quality Food Stores in Waterford, it has been revealed.

The winner, a young South East man who wishes to remain anonymous, shared the €25.6m jackpot with a player in Spain.

The Irish winner revealed he hit the number 32 by mistake on his play slip.

His windfall shoots him straight on to Ireland's rich list and makes him wealthier than One Direction's Niall Horan and Hollywood actress Saoirse Ronan put together.

The store is in the money too, after being presented with a cheque for €25,000.

"We're all over the moon here, we're just totally delighted," store manager Val Lamb told local radio station Beat 102-103.

"There's a great atmosphere around the store, everybody's quite happy for the winner."
