Gardaí appeal for help in locating missing Monaghan man, 40

Gardaí are appealing for help in tracing a 40-year-old man who has gone missing in Co Monaghan.

Gerard Tierney from Smitboro, Co Monaghan was last seen on Thursday evening close to the border with Northern Ireland.

Mr Tierney is described as 5' 6'' inches tall, of slight build, with short fair hair.

He was last seen wearing dark coloured trousers and a dark coloured polo shirt.
