Gardaí widen search for €27.5k missing from Dublin garda station

Gardaí in Dublin have reportedly extended their hunt for a huge amount of cash that went missing from a garda station .

Up to €27,500 disappeared from an evidence bag following a raid in Coolock in 2009.

It is not linked to the recent case of missing cash at Balbriggan Garda Station.

The National Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been drafted in to investigate whether a crime has been committed or whether the money has simply been misplaced by accident.
