The 94th Dublin City Liffey Swim took place in Dublin this afternoon, with over 335 swimmers braving the water.

First place in the men's race went to Ciaran O'Driscoll from Half Moon Swimming Club in Great South Wall in Dublin, who beat 218 others with a time of 26.16 minutes.

The women's race followed an hour later with Gina Murphy from Glenalbyn Masters in Stillorgan, crossing the winning line at the East Link Toll Bridge after 32.22 minutes.

The event, supported by Dublin City Council and staged by The Open Sea Committee, sees swimmers of all pedigree doing their best to navigate the one-mile race down Dublin's docklands.
