Weapons find 'prevented criminals inflicting death and injury'

A major weapons haul recovered during a security alert may help thwart death, injury and misery, police have said today.

Around 16 modern semi-automatic handguns and more than 800 rounds of ammunition were seized on the Manse Road area of Castlereagh on Friday evening.
