Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in Dublin.

A post mortem examination will be carried out this afternoon on the body of a man discovered in Dublin earlier.

The remains were located at a waste recycling facility on Ballymount Road in Ballymount, shortly before 9am.

The discovery was made by staff unloading a rubbish truck. It is believed to be that of a man in his 30s.

His body has since been removed to Tallaght Hospital. Gardaí are continuing to investigate the incident.
