Irish emigrants asked for opinions on voting in presidential elections

Irish emigrants are being asked for their opinions on whether they should be given a vote in presidential elections.

The Constitutional Convention wants to canvass the opinion of citizens overseas on if, and how, they would like to vote.

The Convention has been asked to consider whether a referendum should be held so that Irish citizens overseas can vote for the President by postal ballot or at an embassy.

Interested citizens can go to www.constitution.ie to take a survey and offer their thoughts.
