The National Consumer Agency secured undertakings from six domestic waste operators to change "unfair" consumer contracts in the first six months of the year.

The companies involved were The City Bin Company; Panda Waste; Greenstar Limited; AES; Country Clean Recycling; and Oxigen.

It also secured a conviction against a Cork car dealer for the sale of a clocked car, along with a compensation payment of €1,750.

And it issued 46 enforcement actions against traders for misleading pricing and price display.
