Confusion over Irish citizens detained in Egypt

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it has not been able to confirm whether the four Irish citizens being held in Egypt have appeared in court.

It was reported earlier that the Halawa siblings were due to appear before prosecutors this afternoon, amid hopes that they could be released afterwards.
