Letterkenny General to open temporary Emergency Dept

A temporary Emergency Department will be re-open to patients at Letterkenny General Hospital this morning at 10am.

It follows severe flooding at the facility as a result of torrential rain in July which forced the closure of the department.

A major clean-up operation has continued over the past three weeks and the interim facility will allow for ambulance admissions only.

Members of the public are being asked not to "self present".
