Training session for Cork companies on winning government business

An information session to connect local suppliers to opportunities in the construction sector will take place in Cork today.

The aim of the event is to show people how to tender for work under the Government's school building project - which is being jointly run by the National Development Finance Agency, The Department of Education and Enterprise Ireland.

"The projects haven't been agreed yet," Tom Hayes of Enterprise Ireland explained.

"The tenders are going out in September, so it's an information session which will help the local companies, the local suppliers, to understand how the potential contractors will operate and how they can win business from them."
