Patients call for national organ transplant authority

There have been calls for the setting up of a national organ transplant authority, with patients saying the system needs to work quicker and with less stress for health staff.

Currently the same individual who deals with the family of a deceased donor is also tasked with handing over an organ to someone on the waiting list, which campaigners say is unfair.
