Witness in Dundon trial denies presence when hit was ordered

A witness in the trial of a Limerick man accused of murdering Shane Geoghegan said he was not present when a hit was allegedly ordered.

John Dundon, of Hyde Road in Limerick, denies having anything to do with the death of the popular rugby player in November 2008.

Convicted criminal Liam Casey was named as one of those who attended a meeting where Dundon allegedly ordered a hitman to kill one of Shane’s neighbours.

However he told the Special Criminal Court today that while he often met Dundon, he was not in his house when the alleged meeting took place.
