Dublin Bus staff set to strike tomorrow
Dublin Bus customers are facing disruption to services tomorrow with the threat of industrial action looming.
Members of SIPTU and the National Bus and Rail Union served strike notice earlier this week in a dispute over the implementation of a major cost-cutting plan this Sunday.
Dublin Bus is urging trade unions and workers not to engage in any industrial action on Sunday which, it says will cause unnecessary inconvenience to customers.
The media and communications manager with Dublin Bus, Clíodhna Ní Fhátharta, said that up-to-date information will be available on their website and twitter accounts for customers.
"Well, there is potential, obviously, for strike action, that's what the trade unions have indicated, and as the strike action goes across all grades, there will not be any services," she said.
"This applies trade unions and staff from Dublin Bus only, so it is just Dublin Bus services that will be affected."
