Gardaí in Wexford launch investigation after two aggravated burglaries target elderly women

Gardaí in Wexford are investigating two aggravated burglaries in the county in the early hours of this morning that targeted two elderly woman.

The first incident happened in Ramsgrange shortly after 3am when three masked men entered the home of an elderly woman who lives alone.

They searched the house and stole a small amount of property.

In the second incident four masked men entered the house of another elderly woman living alone in Fethard-on-Sea.

They took the keys to her car and a small amount of property.

Her car was later found burnt out a short distance away.

Neither of the women were injured.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen a dark coloured saloon car in the Ramsgrange and Fethard-on- Sea areas in the early hours of this morning.
