Heavy rain causes localised floods in Dublin
There are reports of localised flooding on Dublin's northside.
Gardaí say Swords Road in Santry is flooded after heavy rain.
The Garda Traffic Corps said traffic is getting through slowly, but motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Flooding has been reported on Sheriff St at the Docklands Train Station, Jones's Road by Croke Park and on the R132/ Swords Rd at Santry Lane in Santry.
Motorists will have to contend with excess surface water on the Outer Ring Rd at the Willsbrook Rd Jct and on the Fonthill Rd at the Ronanstown Rd Jct.
Also, inbound at Templeogue Village and on the N81/Tallaght Bypass has excess surface water as does Dodder Park Rd (R112) in Rathfarnham by the Dodder.
Excess surface water is also reported on Chapelizod Road, around the Strawberry Beds and on the M1 at Junction 4 Donabate.
Macken St and Hanover St, the North Quays by O'Connell Bridge, Shelborne Road and Landsdowne Road are also affected by the heavy rain.
