Parts of the roof at the Mater Hospital and Clery's in Dublin have collapsed due to the torrential rainfall overnight.

Parts of the roof at the Mater Hospital and Clery's in Dublin have collapsed due to the torrential rainfall overnight.

Dublin Fire Brigade were alerted but nobody was injured and both incidents have since been described as "minor".

There was heavy surface water in several areas across the city before the rain cleared this morning.
