Deceased in Ennis stabbing identified as three remain in custody
Three men are still being held for questioning over the death of a 31 year old Polish man who died following a stabbing in Ennis overnight.
He's been named as Piotr Nowakowski, a single man who had lived in Clare for a number of years.
His sister also lives in Ennis and has been informed by Gardaí.
Another man suffered a broken leg following the violent incident at Sandfield Mews at around 1am. He is also being interviewed by Gardaí at Limerick University Hospital.
Gardaí are awaiting results of a post mortem examination being carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Michael Curtis, to determine how their investigations proceed.
