Man, 70, dies after kick from horse in Clare

An elderly man has died in Co Clare following an accident involving a horse.

It is understood the 70-year-old local man was trying to break a horse near his home in Broadford this morning, when he was kicked by the animal he was training.

His injuries proved fatal, and his body has been removed to Limerick University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
