Rabbitte: Private broadcasters will not receive funding for new charge

Private broadcasters have been told they will not be given money from the new broadcasting charge.

The charge is set to replace the TV licence next year, but this afternoon Pat Rabbitte said it would be against EU law to share the funds with private broadcasters.
