Irishman injured in bull run was on stag weekend
An Irishman remains in hospital today after being injured by a bull at the famous Pamplona Bull Run festival in Spain.
Robert Thackaray was one of the victims of a pileup after several bulls caught up with runners yesterday.
It is understood the 28-year-old engineer was attending a stag weekend in the town, when he and his friends joined the bull run, which has left 23 people injured and one man in a serious condition.
His friends say they did not realise he was hurt until they finished their run.
He is receiving treatment for crushing injuries to his chest. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
