Single-parent payment recipients to be switched to Job Seekers Allowance

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton has come under fire again this afternoon, following the announcement of plans to remove 9,300 people from a scheme designed to aid lone parents.

Those who are taken off the One Parent Family Parent system will instead be put onto the Job Seekers Allowance scheme.
