Maintain planned €3bn cuts this year, ESRI advises government

The Government should press ahead and cut €3 bn from the economy as planned in October's budget, the Economic and Social Research Institute said today.

In a report on the prospects for the Irish economy released this morning, it said easing up on austerity after this year's budget could mean fewer cuts in the years ahead.
