Whistleblowers to receive up to five years wages under new plan

Anyone who is fired from their job for reporting illegal activity could be given up to five years' wages - under new plans to give legal protection to whistleblowers.

The rules published by the Minister for Public Expenditure earlier apply to both public and private sector workers.
