A 26-year-old Lithuanian man charged with the killings of a mother and her daughter in Co Kerry is now facing a double murder charge.

Aurimas Andruska, with an address at 7 Ardmoniel Heights in Killorglin, has already been charged with the murder of 28-year-old Jolanta Lubiene.

A charge of the manslaughter of her eight-year-old daughter Enrika was withdrawn and upgraded to murder at Killarney District Court this morning.

Their bodies were discovered at their home in Langford Downs in Killorglin on the evening of June 16.

The accused man has been remanded in custody to appear at Tralee District Court next Tuesday, July 9.
