Man charged with killing mother and daughter in Killorglin

A 26-year-old man has been charged with the killings of a mother and daughter in Killorglin, Co Kerry.

The bodies of 28-year-old Jolanta Lubiene and 8-year-old Enrika were found in their home in Langford Downs on the evening of June 16.

Aurimas Andruska of 7 Ard Moniel Heights, Killorglin appeared before a special sitting of Killarney District Court this evening charged with the murder of Jolanta Lubiene and the unlawful killing of her daughter Enrika Lubyte.

He was remanded in custody to Cork prison and is due to reappear at Killarney District Court next Tuesday.
