Teen due in court in connection with Limerick shooting

A 19-year-old man is due in court in Limerick charged in connection with a shooting in which a man was shot in the face and body.

The incident happened last weekend at open ground just off Hyde Road in Ballinacurra Weston.

The suspect is expected to be charged with possession of a crude shotgun on June 23.

The 21-year-old victim of the shooting sustained over 20 pellet wounds to his head.

He is expected to make a full recovery.
