Software upgrade blamed for phone service outage

A software upgrade has been blamed for the temporary outage of Three Ireland’s services this morning.

A Virgin Media Business spokesperson said: "As part of a programme of work which Virgin Media Business began last month, a software upgrade today caused a temporary outage on the Three network in Ireland.
