Ombudsman welcomes extension of mobility allowance

The Ombudsman has welcomed the coalition's decision to temporarily extend the Mobility Allowance.

The Government decided to scrap the scheme after Emily O'Reilly questioned the fairness of the allowance - which discriminated on the basis of age.
