Irish Rail to launch app today

Irish train users will be able to avail of Iarnrod Eireann's new official app from today.

The app, which is free to download, will provide customers with real-time train information, a journey planner feature and nearby station finder.

Irish Rail said the online facility will improve the level of information that customers can get on train services.

The Minister of State with Special Responsibility for Public Commuter Transport Alan Kelly will launch the app later today.
