Survey finds 52% in favour of Seanad's abolition
A new poll by TV3 has found that 52% of people are in favour of abolishing the Seanad.
The survey-which was carried out for TV3 News by Irish market online research company 'europinions.ie' - shows 23% of people are against getting rid of the Upper House while 24% of those surveyed did not know.
The report also shows that 43% of people who want to keep the Seanad said it was a good way of keeping the Government in check
