Mickey Harte to speak at Eucharistic Gathering

Tyrone football manager Mickey Harte will be among the speakers at a special Eucharistic Gathering in the Diocese of Ferns this weekend.

The special three-day gathering begins in Enniscorthy today, as part of the year of faith.

Father Billy Swan is a priest at Enniscorthy Cathedral in the Diocese of Ferns.

He said this gathering is about coming home to God, our community and our true selves.

Father Swan said he is looking forward to hearing the testimonies of faith from high profile speakers like Mickey Harte.

"You cannot beat the example of hearing people speak who have been t through the experience of life themselves

"And I suppose how they have meaning in their faith and certainly through people like Mickey Harte

"He is an absolute inspiration to listen to considering he is a motivator and a great inspirer and leader but certainly since the death of his daughter he has found meaning in his faith like never before."
