Thief leaves apology note

A thief has left an apology letter for a couple after stealing their alcohol for several years.
The unnamed person owned up to the routine crime of stealing Leo and Dee Samad's beer from their back garden in Kentucky by confessing all in a note and leaving $140 to make up for the theft.
The letter wrote: "I hope you will accept my most sincere apology for trespassing as well as feeling entitled to take what was not mine.
"The amount is a rough estimate, and I realise no amount will completely satisfy the anger you may have."
Following the remarkable act of honesty, Dee told the Cincinnati News she would welcome the culprit into her home with open arms after they were "man enough" to apologise.
