'Progress' in bus strike talks

It is hoped mass strike action at the country's main transport companies can be avoided following progress at talks between unions and management at Bus Éireann.

Unions put forward proposals to the Labour Relations Commission for senior management to take a cut in wages as well. It is believed the calls have been taken on board.
